July and FreedomFiction.com

Hey,

No, I am not out riding a motorycle, enjoying the thunderstorms and torrential rains over my corner desk of the planet.

I have had to curb my enthusiastic ventures to find focus and future for it all.

FreedomFiction.com is the proudest thing I have collaborated on, and for 18 years since August 2008, I can’t resist wondering what new story I will discover and learn from or inform the author about or surprise the readers with.

Then there is the aspect of the joy of connecting with people all over the world–from North America, to Europe and UK, to Asia, Australia and even African nations (more than one, yes). Such is the passion that connects us online through the internet and a nascent, not-yet-mainstream, truly independent platform of FreedomFiction.com

While it is well past Fourth of July, I wanted to reach out to all to let them feel the truth that one may have everything or nothing–but just like joy and serenity, the freedom starts inside of you–not from something given onto you from any piece of paper or law or letter or certificate or book or person or institution.

Be free when you feel you wish to be. Body and mind incarcerated can still “see” and feel freedom. It does not die, not in man nor animal. It’s our nature. It is unnatural to want to be conditioned and similar and assimilated as ‘The Borgs’ would demand in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

There is so much we take for granted–but French Revolution and The Declaration of Independence in America are two landmarks that helped enable modern man (and woman and…..) to believe beyond the declared word of some self-proclaimed ruler or enforcer. It has inspired countless freedoms throughout the world since then.

Well, then there is the second biggest export from America–The American Culture. That constitutes the arts, crafts, entertainment and lifestyle. It’s the swag we wish we all could swagger with.

I am very grateful to all who have contributed to the safety and integrity of nations across the world–and we can only hope that man chooses to save man over saving man-made currency. The virtue is not in giving or saving–it is the nature of acknowledging the grief or grudge and finding a way forward for the benefit of people rather than ego of a fleeting institution or person.

Sometimes, being there is enough for being a friend. You don’t have to do or say anything. Love is rarer than life, but love can be selfish and even violent in its passion. Then there is life as a human that’s rarer if you look at all the other flora and fauna spread across from you in all directions.

Letting the other person or creature know you know their state can alleviate much suffering and pain without any transaction. When there is no cure, sometimes, companionship and camaraderie can feel like a family that is there even if they have unsaid boundaries among them.

Start somewhere, your own family, your garden, your neighbour or neighbourhood–and discover what you can beyond the obvious–deeper under the disguises we wear to appear “normal” so as to protect our personal “freedom”. Conversations are much better than communications. Try it — it worked for centuries before social media made us all anti-social.

Let’s aim to be Free Forever–and aim the same for FreedomFiction.com
